A four-year-old girl received eight stitches after a Shep- leaving a deep bite wound on the mid-section of the girl's noge. 1 She was treated at Oshawa General Hospital. In a separate incident a 20-year-old man was attacked by a German Shepherd as he walked along Shirley Road. The man was bitten on his left leg, just below the knee. . According to Durham Regional Police one of the dog owners was co-operative, while the other was not. Both incidents are still under investigation, and Sergeant Ken Hudson said it is up to the injured parties if they wish to sue. The recent number of dogs running logse, coupled with these last two incidents, have Durham Regional Police possi- bly reviewing the Dog Liability Act.
