Under the leadership of Edna Beckett and accompanied by Eva Hunter at the piano, the senior's choir entertained us with songs in keeping with the season. A very talented young lady, "Jennifer Blackburn" showed us why she has won many awards in Highland Dancing with two dances that were a joy to see. Ruby Beare introduced a quartet from the Uxbridge Sweet Adelines. These ladies, Arlene Boothroyd, Debra Kel- land, Christine Crust and Sally Kane presented some great har- monizing in many songs famil- iar to us. Among our guests were Jack- lyn and Geoff Kerr who offered as a draw prize, a trip for two to see the Christmas lights in the town of Simcoe. Vilma Giannini was the trip winner. Names were drawn for spot prizes do- nated by the catering service plus a door prize donated by the Settlement House and the poin- settias that decorated our ta- bles. With the singing of Jingle Bells, Santa arrived and with the help of his Elves, presented a gift to all those in the hall.
