The Greenbank Gamblers Fastball team decided that they would try their abilities with skates and hockey sticks, so last Saturday they played in a hock- ey tournament in Minden and we are glad to report they were the winners. Brian Till was tournament M.V.P. with Peter Oosterholt M.V.P. for goalies. Congratulations to the team and we hope this win will carry over to the baseball diamond for the upcoming season. Norm and Betty Tapscott, their daughter Ann and her husband Ed Watson flew down to Halifax recently to attend the christening of their grand- daughter Julie, who is the daughter of John and Adelaide Tapscott. The ceremony was held in Edgewood United Church and was performed by her father who is the minister there. While Ed and Ann re- turned home that weekend, Norm and Betty stayed on for the week to visit and, I'm sure, enjoy a little more time with that darlinglittle girl. Lorne and Eileen Slute visit- ed with the Lloyd Slutes at Rag- lan on Saturday night. Gale and Arnold Kerry were on a business trip in the Orlan- do, Florida area last week and also visited with some folk from our area who were vacationing in the (sunny south). Is that right?
