Marlene Russell, a member of the Baha'i faith for 18 years, will be speaking about her per- sonal experiences as a Baha'i. Mrs. Russell has worked with "Scugog Women" and served on the Museum Board. Participat- ing in quilt workshops and teaching them in her home have introduced her to many Scugog residents. More currently, she 18 working to help launch a Scu- gog Writer's Circle. She also wrote the "Writer's Blocks" col- umn which appeared in a local newspaper a few years back. And, she recently appeared on" the CBC television program "What on Earth". Mrs. Russell has travelled to many places around the world where she's told people a little of what it's like to follow the teachings of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet Founder of the Baha'i Faith. She speaks from the heart about how she has used her faith to help through diffi- cult times. She says she has also used. humor to hel get through the rough spots. "I think I'm becom- ing very funny," she said.
