Meals on Wheels and 'transportation were again the services most used by the clients this year, ac- cording to the associa- tion's year-end report, re- ceived at the annual meeting last week. Volunteers spent 815 hours delivering 3,538 Meals on Wheels last year, up more than 200 meals from last year. Transportation calls were down slightly to 4,434 trips, compared to the pre- vious year's 4,508 tasks. Scugog's Community Care currently has 136 volunteers, who spent 6,303 hours performing 12,682 tasks over the last year. The number of tasks performed by the volun- teers was down from 12,949 the previous year. Fifty-seven new clients used the services of the lo- cal association this year, leaving the total number of clients on file at 371. Other servites used by the clients included 563 Scugog Community Care held its annual general meeting last week at the Latcham Centre in Port Perry. The volunteers of the association spent more than 6,300 hours helping area residents last year. Pictured are the members of the new executive. The annual Uxbridge/ Scugog COPE program provided service to 70 cli- ents in one-on-one sup- port groups over the past year.
