What ever happened to the World's Best People contest and the stores do- ing their fronts all up? This year was terrible. It was supposed to be less costly, but it cost $5, $6 and $8 dollars a night just to get into the beer tent, that doesn't even include your drinks. The midway was a total rip-off as usual. There didn't seem to be much to do except go to the 'beer tent, look at the few PLEASE 21) do HS THIS NEWSPAPER old cars that were there and spend your money at the midway. Whose idea was 1t to have only local mer- chants? Even when things are on sale, no one can af- ford the stuff, besides we can see them anyday. There are plenty of things you could do to make it better like having a baby contest, a best dressed contest towards the theme and a talent contest to name a few. Why not have a parade and a Mr. and Mrs. Festi- val Days pageant? Maybe if we all worked together, once again Festi- val Days can be a weekend to remember forever. M.
