Blanche Williams and Bernice visited with their aunt Alma Duffof Oshawa recently also with Audrey James, Oshawa. This Saturday evening, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. join us at Burns Church as Debbie Batten shares with us her experiences while travel- ling with "Up With Peo- ple." Everyone is invited. Light refreshments will be served. Being early in the evening, it will give you a chance to take in other ac- tivities you might have planned. The Childbirth Edu- cation Association is of- fering a childbirth re- fresher course designed to meet the unique needs of "experienced" parents on Sunday, Nov. 26 and Sunday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Parents can learn how to improve on past birth experiences, brush up on labor cop- ing skills and discuss sibling and family ad- justment. To complement this program, Sibling Prep- aration classes for pre- school and school-age children will also be available. This age- appropriate class for brothers and sisters-to- be uses crafts, songs and stories to help chil- dren prepare for life with a new baby.
