The season opens on Lake Scugog Jan. 1 and continues through until Feb. 29. The Ministry is also re- questing the assistance of those anglers who have transferred the ownership of a registered ice hut to advise the Lindsay office ofthe new owner. Lindsay Area Conserva- tion Officers will once again be conducting regu- lar patrols throughout the season to ensure compli- ance with the Game and Fish Act and the Ontario Fishing Regulations. Last year, 145 people were charged for a variety of offences, including fish- ing without a licence, or using more than the per- mitted two lines per per- son. Many thanks for a wonderful year.
