Murder warrant IS issued after silo remains identified A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a suspected murderer after the discovery of human remains in a silo near here. Sudbury Police issued the warrant last week for Leo Henry Pilotte, 40, formerly of Hamner, Ontario after a positive identification of remains dug in February on Thornton Rd. in Oshawa. The man is wanted for first degree murder, and offering indig- nity to a human body. Police revealed last week they had carried out the dig at the silo -- it went on for a couple of "Weeks, and investigators were extremely tight- lipped about the operation -- as part of a missing person investigation. Gerald Leveille, 40, of Val Caron, Ont., was last seen about Feb. 21 of 1995. Police said his vehicle was found abandoned at the Jane-Finch Mall in Toronto in March of last year. The investigation led Sudbury police to the Oshawa area, where they finally pin-pointed the abandoned silo. Police spent days on the scene, thawing the frozen earth at the base of the silo and removing it by wheelbarrow. Eventually, police announced they had found human remains.
