Karen Kelly, of Fowler and Kelly, told council Monday that there have been problems locating a 1965 zoning bylaw that may be crucial to her deci- sion on whether the opera- tion is a legal non- conforming use. The neighbors of the property in question ap- proached council recently asking the township to put a stop to the operation. They say it is a constant nuisance due to constant noise and pollution from diesel emissions. Mr. Ron Gibson in: formed council by way of a letter that he has lived in the home since 1964 and began purchasing con- struction equipment and trucks the next year. In 1975, after purchasing the property, he said there has always been a truck or trailer of some description on the premises. In 1985 he applied for, and was granted a permit from the township, to erect a garage to perform maintenace work on his equipment. Mr. Gibson said there has been equipment, trucks and trailers on the property for 30 years and they have not received a neighborhood complaint, ; Notice of Application Trader Sam's Roadhouse address and telephone number. The Gibsons moved to this location prior to any zoning or by-law amend- ments and feel they are in a non-comforming use to the present bylaw. Mrs. Kelly told council that she is not yet con- vinced one way or the oth- er until she reads the missing bylaw. Township clerk Earl Cuddie said he will have staff search the archives forit.
