Gavin Sobil scored 2 while teammates Jeremy Griffin and Jack Burton each scored one. Excellent effort by all! Brian's Towing vs. Bank of Montreal Bank of Montreal edged over Brian's and managed to score onemoregoalinaclose 2-1 ~ match. Bank of Montreal's Jimmy, Breslin and Kaitlyn Baker each scored one fo the win and Brian's Luke Fraser scored the lone goal. Jamie Hyvidsten did make it exciting by letting one shot rol} along the goal line, almost crossing over. UNDER 8 DIVISION Swim Kids vs. Classic Aluminum "Astrong offensive effort by 'Swim Kids led to a good 5-2 win over Classic Aluminum. Scott Partington netted a hat trick (3) and Danielle Bourgeois anc Sam Doupe- Smith each scored one. For Classic, Andrew Pegg a and Kyle Passmore did the scoring. Canadian Tire vs. Ball & Callery Canadian Tire doubled Ball & Callery with a score of 4-2. Goals for Canadian Tire were scored by Kyle Paige, Ashley Radcliffe, Russell Tracey, and Shayne Taylor and Bernard DeBoer and Glenn Baker scored for Ball & Callery. A tie game in their eighth game of the season turned out to be the deciding fac- tor in the points race as the Flames ended up with 16 points (seven wins, three losses, two ties). Turner's Green Giants clinched the Mite division by defeating the Black- stock United Church Saints. Turner's have lost just one game to date with the Port Perry IGA close behind at two losses. The Don Frew & Sons Aggies claimed the senior Reg Strictly Saccorlf Wanamaker. Excellent game * everybody! Ball & Callery vs. Dairy Delight Ball & Callery heldonto a 2- 0 victory over Dairy Delight. Both teams played well together which eventually led to goals by William Dallas and Kimberly Wilson of Ball & Callery. Dairy Delight vs. McGuiness Coatings McGuiness Coatings had a4-0 win over Dairy Delight. Goal scorers were Cassandra Aked, Dustin Eldridge, and Mike Wallace (2). UNDER 10 DIVISION Manvers vs. Raglan Raglan had a tremendous shutout against Manvers. The final score was 7-0 and goals came from a variety of players. Davin Michel had 1, Brent Mecking had 2, Kirk Stevens had 1, Matt Charron had 2, and Chris Charron had 1. Roger's Automotive vs. Nutty Chocolatier Rogers'Tim Cruickshank had a hat trick (3 goals) which helped his teamto a 5-2 victory over The Nutty Chocolatier. Matthew Tennant and "#2" also rounded out the scoring while Grant Ranieri netted 2 to keep Nuts in the game. Coleen McKeracher was Cartwright Minor Ball title by virtue of their win over the Campbell Electric Raiders. These three join the Snap On Tool Giants who won the T-Ball title earlier and the Winter's Storm who claimed the Squirt championship a while back. All coaches are remind- ed to turn in their team award winners before this weekend or the players names will not be en- graved on the trophy which will be presented at Recognition Day on Aug. 25. Tykes Wotten Carpentry Hammerheads 9 Overridge Fireplace Flames 7 Some excellent five strikeout pitching by Don- ald Shaw over the final two innings lifted the Hammerheads to their fifth win. The Flames had built up an early 705 lead but saw it dwindle away as the Heads scored four unanswered runs in their half of the third inning to take the lead for good. Bryan McNamara hit a triple for the Flames as well as playing some solid defense while on the mound.
