As of Doctors hail new agreement |M Deal "satisfies both sides", says Chief of Staff By Chris Hall Port Perry Star It appears a tentative agreement has been reached between the Ontario government and doctors to end the five-week protest. And one local doctor calls the deal "promising". The agreement seems to satisfy both sides, says Community Memorial Hospital Chief of Staff, Dr. Michael Gilmour. "The agreement sounds very pro- mising. It mutually meets the needs of the government, public and the doctors. Hopefully it will be passed," said Dr. Gilmour, adding that nego- tiating is ongoing.
