And they can spend years retelling the tale of how he was born in a car outside the hospital in Port Perry. Having gone through the experience of birth once before, Jeanette and Dale Thomas of Oakwood weren't in too much of a rush when they thought the time for Jeanette to go to hospital had arrived around midnight last Thursday. "We figured we had lots of time so we showered and got things ready to go. We left the house and dropped our son off at his grandparents," said Mr. Thomas on Sunday. He said his wife under- went extended labor when Dylan, their two-year-old son, was born. "We went into the hospi- tal about the same time before but he didn't show up until around 9 a.m.," he said.
