Station One firefight- ers were called at 7:30 p.m. on April 1 when it was reported that there was a flare on the lake. After investigating and being unable to lo- cate the flare, the fire department deter- mined that it might have been a trick. Ringing Alarms Firefighters from Station One were dis- patched to a Water St. address at 1:07 a.m. on April 3 when alarms were ringing. Upon arriving at the scene, nothing was found. Ambulance Assist Station One firefight- ers were once again called to a Water St. ad- dress on April 3 when a call came came to help an ambulance at 1:34 a.m. They were not re- quired upon arrival. Detector goes off Firefighters from Station One were sent to an Applewood Cres- cent residence on April 4. A carbon monoxide alarm went off at 6:16 a.m. and the firemen were sent to check it out. Accident call can- celled Station One firefight- ers were called to a mo- tor vehicle crash at 2:36 p.m. on April 5, but the "call was cancelled. The call was for an accident at the intersec- tion of Simcoe St. and Coates Rd. Grass fire Firefighters from Station One were dis- patched to a Scugog Line 6 residence on April 6 when a grass fire was called in. The firemen were sent out at 3:32 extinguish the fire but it was already out when they arrived. Call cancelled Station Two firefight- ers were sent to a Old Scugog Rd. building on April 1 because of ring- ing bells. The 11:58 a.m. call was later cancelled. Rubbish fire Firefighters from Sta- tion Two were called at 10:55 p.m. on April 4 to extinguish a rubbish fire. The firefighters were sent to the Cartwright West Quarter Line, so. th of Byers Rd., to extinguish the fire.
