"I talked to a few peo- ple on the street and they mentioned that no one. has stepped up to repre- -sent them because (pre- sent Ward 5 rep) Karen Puckrin has said that she. will not run again," he said last week. Though he has had no political experience -- or aspirations -- before, Mr. Twilt is confident that his 35 years in business can help him in municipal politics. "This is such a lovely township, and Port Perry's a very lovely town. I want to fight for this township; fight against the government's addition of GTA costs," he said last week.
