Caswell The seniors held their first meeting of the new season after a summer break.The executive has changed with some new faces so we wish them well as we head into a busy period. Clara Warren and Grace Bassant were greeters for this meeting with registration being looked after by Annie and Lloyd Wakeford. After the singing of our National Anthem, presi- dent Otto Bujtas welcomed the guests and visitors that were attending our meeting. A warm welcome was extended to the new mem- bers joining us for the first time. All those who had anniversaries or birthdays over the summer were rec- ognized. We are looking for some special entertainment for that evening. Our annual bazaar will be held in November and will need a lot of help both in items to sell and people to work at setting up and handling the sales at the tables. More information will be available as the date of the bazaar | approaches. | Elfi and Otto Bujtas attended the annual meet- ing of the United Senior Citizens of Ontario and have a report on the items that were presented and are of interest to all seniors. This report will be presented at a later date. The meeting ended with the reciting of the Mizpah Benediction and a social period with the serving of cake and tea. We do invite all the members to take part in the many recreational activities that are avail- able. These include shuf- fleboard, exercise and line dancing, wood carving, arts and crafts, euchre and a choir that welcomes new members. The Kerr Travel and Tour Group provide us with a great variety of trips. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at the Latcham: - Centre and welcome new members so do come and join us. ~The next meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 24 will start at 5 p.m. and will include a pot luck dinner.
