Bakersville 97, the Scugog Memorial Public Library's animated Gingerbread village, is starting to come to life once more. Already, library board members Pat and Fred Heap have distributed information to schools, businesses and profes- sional offices. They're looking for entries from the entire community so the library can create its unique Gingerbread village for another fes- tive season. Last year there were 39 entries. This year organizers are hoping to make the candy village being bigger and better. Entrants in the past have always had a lot of fun creating their own entry, Mrs. Heap said. "We're asking every- one to come be a part of the show," she said. Participants are asked to bring their entries to the library between Nov. 28 and Dec.3. They'll be on dis- play throughout the Christmas season, from Dec. 6 to Jan. 5. Patrick Melligan, a member of the Library Board, is building the entire railway line, com- plete with the miniature station, train and tunnel running through the mountain.
