Scugog Island News Gloria's 'pumpkin princess' By Karen Davis The announcement that all pumpkin growers on the Island were waiting for was revealed on Sun. November 2nd. Gloria Fralick was crowned the "Pumpkin Princess" for her 1st place giant pumpkin. Sara Davis grew a 2nd place pumpkin and and Cam Aldred grew a 3rd place pumpkin. Special thanks to Jim McGhee and Alan Carter for judging this "giant" of a contest. . This contest inspired many people, giv- ing advice. over the sum- mer months and many sto- ries can be shared. A meaningful Memorial Service was held on Sunday evening. Special music was provided by the Choir and Nelson Reader. The Lectionary Bible Study group will meet on Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. at S.IU.C.
