Norene (nee Cawker), wife of the late J. Arthur Thornton. Predeceased by her brothers Howard, Dou- glas, George, Donald and Harold. She is survived by her sister Leona Isobel Wrathall. Norene was born on November 22, 1908 at Port Perry to Ellen Elizabeth and William Weston Cawker. She was a grandaaughter of Mary and Samuel T. Cawker. She grew up and went to school in Port Perry and her first job was at the Royal Bank. She worked in offices in Toronto as a bookkeeper for several years before settling back in Port Perry as a book- keeper at Ballard Lumber until she retired. Norene had several nieces and nephews who will miss her and she will be loving- ly remembered by Bar- bara Murczek.
