Poor ice conditions have further delayed the opening of the Port Perry Kinsmen Club's Ice Palace skating rink. Spokesman Dave Goldberg said that while an attempt to set up fences for the open-air rink on Lake Scugog was made last week, it was decided the ice wasn't thick enough for it to be safely done. "We started going out there and, unbelievable as it sounds, (the ice thick- ness) was actually decreasing instead of increasing," said Mr. Goldberg. "So I put a halt to it.
