McClelland Port Perry Star The Durham District School Board will make sure parents are kept fully informed of any future changes to school bell times, an official promised at a meeting last week. Ron Trbovich also vowed the board will test any changes to school times before they are implemented, to avoid the kind of confusion that occurred last September. Mr. Trbovich, superintendent of education and business, made the comments at a meeting with a group of parents at Port Perry High School last 'Thursday evening. The meeting was called by the school's community council and included PPHS prin- cipal Sandra Riches and representatives from a com- pany that provides bus service to Durham students. He conceded several times during the meeting that the way changes in school bell times were implement- ed last September was "a very difficult thing to do, (and) upset a lot of peoples' lives.
