I'm sure that everyone enjoyed the warm weather, giving them a chance to plant the garden, get that boat out for a spin or open up the cottage, etc. or maybe just enjoy lazing about. Utica Community Daycare is holding their annual yard sale this coming weekend, Saturday, May 23 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. and on Sunday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at Utica Memory Hall. There will also be refreshments and a bake table. Also this weekend, Ocala Orchards are holding their Apple Blossom Festival on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They are located south of Utica on High Point Road. Church and Sunday School this week, May 24, will be held in Utica starting at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Burton will be at Toronto Conference so the Monday Night Group will be Utica & Epsom ini charge of the service. The U.C.W. held their May meet- ing last Tuesday in Epsom Church. Eleven members were treated to a delicious rhubarb crisp and refresh- ments which was provided by the "group in charge. The theme of the day was "Mothers" and poems and readings were given in this regard. Notes of encouragement were sent to several people in the community. The Aked family had an enjoy- able weekend at Darien Lake, N.Y. Mrs. Alice Warner of Niagara Falls spent the past week visiting in Utica with her son John and family. Excitement on Saturday evening as a number of police vehicles were geen in the village. Apparently some counterfeit bills were passed at Utica Store and noticed by the owner who acted quickly. Fairley con- ducted the church service at 11 aiser for Athletic Dept. a.m. in the Presbyterian Church. Ushers were Oliver Rohrer and Harvey Mills, and organist was Joyce Taylor. There was a good attendance of children for Sunday School, taught by Shirley Mills. Psalm #67 was read responsively and the scripture readings were from Numbers 19 and Acts 16. Rev. Fairley spoke on Ascension Day. The usual lunch and fellow- ship hour followed in the Sunday School Room. Next Sunday Service at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome. Family News I hope everyone enjoyed the weather for the holiday weekend. It was a good weekend for get- togethers and barbecues. Cartwright High School Saturday, May 30 there will be a yard and bake sale at the Cartwright High School and the benefits will go to the Athletic Council. There will also be a car wash and the benefits will go to the Junior Music Band.
