The fundraiser for the Scugog Shores Museum will be held Saturday (June 6) amongst much celebration as the race hits the 30-year mark, making it the longest-run- ning canoe race of its kind. Before the 10-mile trek begins, participants must register Friday night at the Latcham Centre in Port Perry between 7:30 and 9 p.m., or sign up the day of the race. Boats may hit the water anytime between 8 and 10 a.m. at the starting point on Old Simcoe Rd. Signs clearly mark the start line.
