Police were called to a Simcoe St. address shortly after 2 p.m. when a couple who had gone out for about one hour returned home to find their red 1997 Buick stolen from their garage. The rear door of the garage was found left open. The couple report seeing two males hitch-hiking in the area at the time they left. One is described as a oriental male and the other 1s a "scruffy-looking" white male with short blond hair. - Durham Police were also called to a Seagrave residence around 10:30 a.m. after a red convertible 1988 Chrysler LeBaron was stolen from Isabella St. The owner of the car reported going to bed at 2:30 a.m. and upon waking at 10:30, discovered the vehicle gone.
