14 - PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, August 25, 1998 "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" Young girl serious Injured in accident Durham Regional Police are investigating an accident which left a 12-year-old Toronto girl with serious injuries Tuesday night. : Police say that around 6:10 p-m. on Aug. 18, Caroline Anne Cochrane, 12, was walking with relatives on the east side of Regional Rd. 47 when she was struck by a northbound Jeep Comanche. The accident occurred just north of Regional Rd. 23 in Brock Township. The girl was transported to Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orilha by ambulance and later taken to Sick Childrens' Hospital in Toronto for treatment of seri- ous injuries. The driver of the Jeep Comanche, 44-year-old Timothy Thomson of Sutton, was unin- jured. The incident is still under investigation by Durham Police.
