"A Family Tradition for 132 Years" Hats off to council for PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, September 15, 1998 - 19 Caesarea by The big news here in town is our new boat ramp at the big pier. I haven't mentioned it before as I wanted to get the public reaction to it. I find everyone is in full agreement that its a won- derful job and they no longer get their car spin- ning half way up the ramp. Thanks council for taking care of our one big problem. Lake Scugog Historical Society At our executive meet- ing last Thursday a num- ber of things came up for discussion. Number one was Alex Ingram is back at the Head Church on the Island every Sunday evening playing your type of music for Sept. 20 and 27. All you have to bring is a smile. Time 1s 7:30 p.m. The next year's Nonquon Canoe race was discussed with many new the new boat ramp ideas for 1999. We are all very anx- lous to meet the new curator Susan Neale whom takes up her duties on Oct. 1. The murder mystery play was men- tioned slated for Friday, Oct. 30. Admission is $10. Caesarea Hall Board They had their September meeting on Sunday and made plans for the Halloween Dance, Saturday, Oct. 31. They are also going to have a monthly euchre tourna- ment at the hall. Be sure to come out to their event to help keep the hall going. We are going to have the Beavers and Scouts back at our hall this com- ing season. We wish them the very best. Joke of the Week The new bride: When we get to the motel, let's act like we've been mar- ried for years. Her new husband: "Alright, you carry the bags." Saying of the Week Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy inside or on the box.
