Attention to Seagrave Brownies and Girl Guides - If you missed registration night, there will be a parent meeting on Monday, Sept. 21 at the Seagrave Church at 6:30 p.m. Girls can be registered that evening. Robinglade Estates Womens Group is reminded that their first meeting of the season is Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Caroline Lamonts home at 7:30 p.m. Members are to take their $15 reg- istration money, $2 for the 50/50 draw, and their own mug. There are new members coming out for the first time - so if you're new to Robinglade, please feel welcome. Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Kent Taylor, Lloyd Short, Joshua Jonah and to our son Michael Cooke. The Men's Breakfast group resumed their meetings last Saturday morning, Sept. 12 with a good attendance. They discussed several possible future activities. They meet the second Saturday of each month - all men are welcome. The Sunday Evening Musicales will continue at the Scugog Shores Museum at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27 - all are welcome. |Annual corn roast a smashing success Church News Don Beacock introduced the new organist and choir director Doug Wylie at the service on Sunday morning. Doug, who lives in Oshawa, has been an organist in the Oshawa Presbytery and also in other churches. The choir sang the anthem "Their Is A Balm in Gilead." During the children's time a skit on Paul's letter to Philemon was presented by Karel and Jack Nottingham, Len Somerville, and Greg Read. Being faithful means making difficult choices.Seagrave Church Anniversary is being held on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Charlie Ketcheson will be the guest speaker.
