Don Harron will be speaking as the co-chair of the Canada Coordinating Committee for the International Year of Older Persons. Mr Harron is also known for his creation of the charac- ter of Charlie Farquharson. He will be joined by Cam Jackson, the Ontario Minster of Long-Term Care with responsibility for seniors, Lois Neely, Ontario Member of the Canada Coordinating Committee for the IYOP, John R. O'Toole, MPP for Durham East and Scugog Mayor Doug Moffatt, Township of Scugog. Under the International Year of Older Persons' Charity game A charity hockey game for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Durham will be held on Sunday, April 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. star- ring The NHL Oldtimers vs Emmanuel Church All stars at Scugog Arena. An autograph session will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.
