"We hope our fan sup- port and our winning tra- ditions will come back," he said, noting that virtually the entire team is eligible to play. While stating the obvi- ous disappointment in not having a winning season, he said the 1998-99 team was made up of a "great bunch of kids" who accom- plished the most important aspects of any team sport: sticking together, having some fun and making new friends. And the general man- ager revealed that the Central League format will change this coming season with the addition of five teams from the Empire (Eastern) League. Mr. Parliament thanked - the team sponsor -- Mother Jackson's of Port Perry -- for their continued sup- port. And he noted the work of the executive mem- bers who give their time and efforts to Junior C hockey in this community. Noting that the Glanbrook Rangers repeated as the All- Ontario Jr. C champions this past season, he said the MoJack training camp starts Aug. 30. Adam Bonneveld was named Most Valuable Player for this past season. For the second year in a row, he led all MoJacks on the score sheet and fin- ished second in Central League scoring. Unfortunately, the tal- ented forward will not be back next season due to over-age. He's hoping to continue playing hockey in Amsterdam. He has Dutch citizenship by virtue of the fact his father was born in Holland and he'll be trying to land a spot on a senior team there.
