Rebecca celebrat- ed her 14th birthday with friends with pizza, a movie and a sleepover. On Sunday it was another big day for Rebecca when she was confirmed at Immaculate Conception Church in Port Perry being sponsored by her grandmother, Jane Bradbury and taking the name of St. Veronica. Guests were Randy and Jacqueline Wilson and children of Mount Albert and Mary and Harish Parmer and children of Pickering who were also dinner guests. : On Monday an end-of- the-season barbecue and swimming party was held at the Akeds for Alison's Girl Guides. Jane Bradbury's friend Diane Dobson from the Beaches was a weekend guest with John and Jane. The Aked family enjoyed the holiday week- end with friends at Darian Lake in up state New York. The children of Ray and Dorothy Munro took them to "Medieval Times" dinner and tournament at Exhibition grounds in Toronto on Saturday night to celebrate their 55th wedding anniver- sary.
