Mrs. Sandra Lloyd, Clerk, Township of Mariposa, Box 70, Oakwood, Ontario KOM 2M0 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MARIPOSA PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO COMPREHENSIVE ZONING BY-LAW 94-07 AS TAKE NOTICE, that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Mariposa will hold a Public Meeting on the 3rd day of August, 1999 at 2:00pm o'clock at the Township Municipal Office in Oakwood, Ontario to consider a proposed zoning By-law amendment to the Township of Mariposa Comprehensive Zoning The purpose of the proposed zoning By-law amendment is to change the zone category of approximately 0.28 hectares (0.70 acres) of land identified as Block "B" of Plan 497, Robinglade Estates being part of Lot 1, Concession "B", Township of Mariposa, from the Rural Residential Type One (RR-1) Zone to the Community The effect of the zoning change would be to recognize the property as a public park, maintained by the Township of Mariposa. The land affected by the proposed zoning By-law amendment is shown on the Key Map as "LAND TO BE ZONED CF". Our records, at this time, indicate that the land which is subject of the Application for Rezoning is not subject of an application under the Planning Act for an amendment to an Official Plan, a Plan of Subdivision, a Consent, a Minor Variance or a Minister's Zoning ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning By-law amendment. All submissions will be considered by Council prior to making a decision. Following a decision, persons wishing to continue their objections must, notwithstanding any previous submissions, file with the Clerk a notice of appeal setting out the objection and the reasons in support of the objection. Pursuant to Section 34 (19) of the Planning Act, R.S.0. 1990, as amended, such appeals must be filed within twenty days of the date of notice of passing of the By- law. Persons wishing notice of passing must also file with the Clerk a written request for such notice. If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Township of Mariposa in respect of the proposed zoning By-law does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Mariposa before the proposed zoning By-law is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
