Bill Bridge opened the scoring with an unassisted goal and then wasted no time extending his team's lead by two with the help of Craig Leask and Bill Weisflock. Bob Tarbotton put Harrison Fuels within one after being nicely set up by Brock Reville but it would not be enough as the two points went to Taylor/Ford Mercury. Van & Truck World 5 Taylor Fuels 4 Game two was another tight match as Van & Truck World barely got by Taylor Fuels 5-4 courtesy of some late game heroics. Van & Truck World wasted no time getting on the board first when Dave Dickson found the net after receiving passes from Brad Menzies and Terry Bache. Late in the opening frame the lead was extended to two courtesy of some George Gladish offense. Assists went to Dave Dickson and Mike Geer. Taylor Fuels go on the board in the second period when Brian Samis came through offensively with assists going to Brian Till and Rob Kroonenburg. Following that goal George Gladish netted his second of the game from Jay Adam and Rick Sheehey. In the second period it was an offensive explosion for the sticks of Taylor Fuels as their three goals put them ahead by one. In on the offense was Colin Wackett unassisted, Brian Till from Colin Wackett and Ken Little, and Brian Samis assisted by Brad Hurst and Brian Till. Even with all of this scoring, the real excitement began late in the final frame as Brad Menzies tied the game for Van & Truck World with 31 seconds remaining on the clock. Assists went to Mike Adam and Jay Adam. However, the Van & Truck World team was not done yet. With one second remaining on the clock Dave Dickson found the back of the net for his second of the contest.
