The person or persons who have done this know that what they did 1s wrong. I am not writing this letter to condemn or place blame. I am writ- ing this letter more so to make us all aware of what is going on and for those, I am sure, I would hope, who are doing this really didn't think of the welfare of the children at school. I am hoping that we found every little piece of glass in the grass the kindergartens play in because I would feel ter- rible if a little one gets hurt because of someone elses, as sick as it 1s, enjoyment of breaking bottles. There isn't anything wrong with hanging out with friends. I would be one of the first ones to understand and if some- one were to say "we're bored, there is nothing to do in this small town." I grew up here in this small town and I can actually be honest in saying that I said the same thing. We as parents have an obligation to know where our children are and what they are doing as well as giving our children things to do. Unlike we adults, who don't seem to have as much to enjoy the things we want to do, our chil- dren do have the time. Whether they are five, 10, 15 years old or any other age, they need to be able to enjoy life. No one can say that doing damage to proper- ty or to anyone is enjoy- ment. We just can't lay blame on the ones who are doing this vandal- ism. We need a group effort and to break any barriers down that we can, we should all take pride and have respect for our community, every community, and for the parks, schools and such. We all work very hard to make things better in our town and it just seems such a waste of energy of those who want to destroy it.
