By Albert Putsey Caesarea News This week | am writing from the Upper French | River. Take the wrong turn and you end up in Sudbury or North Bay. The weather has been very wondetful but like else- where, there is a shortage of rain. I do not have the win- ners of the major cups dealing with the Regatta this week but I'm sure they will be listed in one of the papers. I'm sure everyone had the usual great time. My volunteers have made great progress this past week in finishing off road ditches on Highway 57 north of Prout Rd, also some work on Caesar's Cemetery. We are thankful to Larry for the new culvert there as the rock bedded ends had caved away, leaving the roadway rather narrow and dangerous. Jay Todd and his men were very busy this past week in Putsey Park mak- ing final improvements before the Regatta. When | arrived up here my daughter-in-law Linda informed me if 1 go for a walk in the woods and get lost, just point the end of the hour hand on your watch to the sun and read- ing in a clockwise direction halfway between it and 12 o'clock will give you south. After noon hour, read in a counter clockwise direc- tion between the hour hand and 12 o'clock will give you south. Old doubt- ing Thomas had to check it through that day and it held true. was wonderful once again "Oh! What about stan- dard and daylight saving time?" | asked. "Take it to one o'clock, not 12 for day- light saving" she answered. Coming up by car we came across two rollovers and one front and side of a car taken out. Never mind how many police we have out there, we are still going to have accidents, but I'm sure they are greatly reduced by their presence. Sunday we went to North Bay by boat to see the air show. Going was a wonderful trip but by 3:30 p.m. quite a strong west wind had arisen and com- ing home was a nightmare. We had a wonderful holiday but I will be glad to get home. tives and friends.
