Although they don't have the capital reserves on hand for the long over- due project, this isn't about to stop council from looking at innovative ways to pro- ceed. In a report to the Finance Committee, CAO Yvonne de Wit recom- mended the committee approve a "Request for Expression of Interest" (REOI) to identify parties interested in participating in a joint venture with the Township of Scugog to design, construct and potentially manage and/or operate a multi-use build- ing in Port Perry. The REOI is a staff-pre- pared document providing all the necessary informa- tion an interested party might require to make a submission.
