2 - PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, November 27, 2001 ~ Santa Claus arrives in Port Per The annual Port Perry Santa Claus Parade made its way into town last Saturday afternoon, bringing with it more than 60 floats, bands and other entertainers. Happy spectators lined the parade route -- which began at the Port Perry Fairgrounds and wound its way down Simcoe St. and across Queen St. to the Latcham Centre -- to get a glimpse of Santa, who will no doubt soon begin to pop up at local functions. From top left, a horse-drawn buggy was once again a huge attraction; Santa gives those standing on the curbside a wave; a drummer makes his way down Queen St.; and representatives from across the globe give Port Perry a friendly wave.
