A great visit and supper was enjoyed by all. The church was warm and filled to capacity, and the friendship, coffee, tea and sandwiches that followed were excellent. Another great remembrance of those who passed down the highway of life before us. | had two meetings sched- uled for Tuesday the 4th, the Pine Ridge Garden Club and the Caesarea hall Board, but due to straining. my upper back mus- cles, I missed both of them. I also missed the Blackstock Lions executive meeting on Wednesday night. Tylenol was my only relief for about four days. The truth is that | got my leg stuck in the mud up to my knee and managed to grab a tree branch to put under the other foot. Being in this position for over 30 minutes before | could get help put a strain on my back. Blackstock and District Lions Just a reminder to Lions that this Wednesday is the last din- ner meeting of this calendar yedr. The guest speaker is Lioness Billie Kemp from Bowmanville, speaking on one of the Lions International pro- jects, Sleeping Children around the World. Caesarea Christian Fellowship By Valerie Chapman On Saturday morning, Dec. 15 we will be hosting a pancake breakfast at the Caesarea Community Centre from 8:30 to Il a.m. This is a fundraising event and the cost will be $3.50 per person and $7 per family, including children. Please plan on attending to support your community church. The church building is in the final stages of completion. At this time we would like to thank everyone who has taken part in any way, helping us to achieve this goal. Those individuals who have so generously donated funds to cover material costs are greatly appreciated. Others have helped us in so many ways with fundraising programs. Special thanks to Ruth at Bin Dun for patiently storing church property, Debbie and the board at the Community Centre for the use of the hall for our meetings and ~ outreach events, Echo Water Systems for supplying our labourers with water all through the long, hot, dusty summer, and many others that space does not allow us to include here. As for those special few who have laboured daily since June 23, doing all the rebuilding inside and out, words cannot express adequately our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all they have done. The Lord knows your works, and every hour spent in His service is not unno- ticed. There is no need to name you. The Lord knows who you are and we pray that He will greatly bless yaqu. "By their fruits we shall know them." Christmas Eve we shall be celebrating the birth of Jesus in songs of praise with a good old fashioned carol sing.
