The money was collected over the past year during the group's meetings. Computer, cash stolen from Uxbridge home A computer hard- drive and some cash were taken from a Davis Dr. home after | thieves gained entry : to the home by smashing their way in through a door. Police say that sometime between | p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 7 thieves broke into the home by smashing the glass on a east side window. In Uxbridge Job Connect is provided to youth through Durham College. Job Connect offers free services to youth. First is the Information and Service (IRS), which can be accessed through Durham College. Here youth have access to - computers, fax machines, photocopier, and a variety of resources and informa- tion that is of assistance with self-directed job searches. The second service is Employment Planning and Preparation (EPP) which provides workshops and one-on-one counselling to those who qualify. Professionally trained staff assist youth with the development of tech- niques and skills for job searching and interviews. The third service is on the job training. Eligible participants must have completed the EPP com- ponent of Job Connect.
