Lambs for Children has been in operation at Riverdale Farm in Toronto for five years and the expansion of the program to Durham comes in the middle of lamb season and palliative care week. This unique eight week program for children ages six to 11, living in families with either critical illness and/or bereavement, pro- motes the human-animal bond, provides extra nur- turing at a time of crisis and fosters a deeper understanding of the nor- malcy of grief.
