Please note the date change. We will have a speaker from the Novo Nordish Co. who will provide the latest advances in oral medication for Type 2 diabetes. The medication being present- ed will be Gluconorm. The presenter will explain how this medication differs from the standard medication like glyburide and metformin. A second presenter will be here to explain some of the latest glucometers being used in the marketplace. The pre- senter will be demonstrating all Lifescan products. There will be time allowed for questions and actually handling the equipment. In the month of June the diabetes sup- port group will host another glucometer company, as well as a representative, to explain the very "newest" drug Advantia for Type 2 diabetes. Coming this fall, the group have requested we invite Dr. lan Blumer back to discuss how all the latest advances in Type 2 diabetes treatment can improve their own quality of life.
