Lots of cars appeared to be headed north to open up cottages, etc. We have ice cream. Starting this past weekend Wanamaker's General Store began serving scoop ice cream and there's lots of it too. The ice cream is Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream so come on over and enjoy a fresh scooped ice cream cone. The yard sales and fire- works were a great success in Robinglade this week- end. Special thanks to Rob Evans and Joyce and Bud Beauchamp for their help and to Mike McGill for making the fireworks a great success. - Justa reminder of the Kids Movie Night at the Seagrave ¥,Church on Saturday night, June 3,The movie will begin at 6: 30 pp: The : month is "Stuart Little." Parents are requested to accompany their children. A blanket or a sleeping bag wduld be a good idea for the kids for sitting on the floor. The movie is courtesy of Wanamaker's General Store. The spring musical pro- grams at the Museum Church on Scugog Island will resume on Sunday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m. for three Sunday evenings. All are welcome to come and enjoy these talented musicians. The Seagrave Church congregational meeting is on Wednesday, May 31 at 7 p.m. at the Seagrave Church. The Lindsay Presbytry is celebrating its 75th anniversary of the United Church of Canada on Sunday, June 11 beginning with a church fair at 3 p.m. at the Armoury Building in Lindsay. A special wor- ship service begins at 6:30 p.m. featuring a 175 voice choir. The guest minister, Rev. David Reeve will offer a reminiscence of the past 75 years of the United Church. The Seagrave Sunday School anniversary service is on Sunday, June 4 at 10 a.m. Seagrave Church News The choir's anthem at the Sunday morning church service was "I'm Gonna Live So God Can Use Me." During the chil- dren's time Rev. Carson continued the story of the Union of the three church- es to form the United Church of Canada in 1925. Donna Sweetman read the scripture from Luke 3 vs 1-6 and 15 and 16. Rev. Carson's sermon was "The Fire Runs." The minister is an apostle of the United Church of Canada. We need to be touched by the living coals of fire. The fire of life is running.
