This summer the museum has taken a break from some of our annual events in order to try some new things, and get some public feedback about what guests like to see and do in our pioneer village. The musuem is taking a break from its annual Teddy Bear Picnic and Festival of Herbs, but not to worry! There will be plenty of other fun events this summer. Coming Sunday, August 13 will be the first ever Good Old-Fashioned Fun Day. This event will feature games, races, challenges, and fun for all ages. Not to be missed will be clogging lessons with the Port Perry Outback Cloggers, butter churning, candle-making, old-fashioned toys and much more! Visit our Clown, challenge yourself at traditional games or get in on the action in the Blacksmith shop. Bring or buy a picnic lunch! This event runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m, and as always, children under twelve receive free admission! September will be a busy month, with some old favorites returning. The Cruisin' Classics Car Show will make a slightly later than usual appearance on Sunday, Sept. 10, after being rained out in June. Running from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with our famous early bird breakfast, and BBQ this event is always a fun stroll down memory lane. Also returning in September is the annual Pioneer Fall Fair, which celebrates the activities associated with the fall harvest. Attractions include vendors, a fall luncheon and demonstrations galore!
