Carey has been designing and selling these unique hand and machine- knits to specialty shops and private clients for the last 15 years. A member of the Scugog Shores Spinners and Weavers Guild, the Basketry Network and the Ontario Craft Council, Carey Nicholson has partic- ipated in shows such as the Uxbridge Celebration of the Arts Juried Arts Exhibition, the Toronto Dance Theatre's Sensational Silver Sale and Craft Show, and a variety of juried exhibitions and craft shows in Uxbridge, Belleville, Elora and Toronto. Carey operates her studio, Gezelligheid (which translates from Dutch as "warmth" or "cosi- ness"), from her home in Port Perry.
