The possibility of vision loss is one of our most feared disabilities. The World Health Organization estimates that 38 million people worldwide are blind, and 110 million suffer from impaired vision. Over 90% of blind patients live in developing countries, mostly Africa and Asia. More than 80% of blindness cases are considered preventable or treatable; the reality is that such technology or expertise is not available in the third world. In developed countries macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy are the leading causes of blindness since current laser treatment has limited success, and no cure has yet been found. Don't take your eyes or vision for granted - regular detailed eye exams can ensure a lifetime of good vision. To help (3 RE or Le] 8 NC SS busters AN Te. .
