20 - "WEEKEND STAR" FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2001 2 2 Seventy-four members of Uxbridge Swim Club attend the competition USC members fare well at Etobicoke swim meet Last weekend 74 of the 80 swimmers from the Uxbridge Swim Club attended a swim meet with 16 other teams for a total of 761 athletes at the Etobicoke Olympium. This was an "A/B" meet, mean- ing that the eight-lane 50 metre pool was divided in half so that those swim- 'mers with Provincial Time Standards of 'A' or better were in one half of the pool while those with 'B' or slower times were in the other half. The swimmers 13 and older swam in the morning and those 12 and -younger swam in the after- noon. The 10 week program runs from Feb. 5 to April 9 at a cost of only $10 per person.
