Bi Region, as well as both the provincial and fed- -.. eral governments, had been sent the same document. Durham Regional Police report that two men riding dirt bikes on May 6 near the Mosport race track collided sometime late that afternoon. A Bowmanville man, 20-year-old Todd Franklin Montgomery, was pronounced dead at the scene: Ulrich Fuller, 32, of Mississauga, was transported to Sunnybrook Health Sciences in Toronto with head injuries. He died a couple of days later. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. In their release to the media, police stated that the accident occurred on the dirt exten- sion of Murphy Rd., near the southeast corner of Scugog Township. That area is popular among recreational vehicle enthusiasts. Despite the impending suit, Mr. Carson "said that it wouldn't be a good idéa for the township to start trying to deny riders access to the area. "It's not a good idea to start putting up bar- riers. We didn't do anything wrong, but some- one could claim we're trying to cover some- thing up, or now that we're on notice we're try- ing to fix it up," Mr. Carson said.
