Truthfully, we know it really isn't by any means, in fact, it's a most exacting sports skill but we followed the Oshawa Golf Club's men's championship finalists, Jackie Germond Jr. and Jeff McGrath, around the local course on Sunday afternoon, slong with about 200 interested spectators. The majority of the gallery were club members, wise in the ways of golf and fully appreciative of the brilliant form display- ed by these two competitors, but you really couldn't blame the non-golfers present, if they came away figur- ing the game was almost easy. This pair of shot-makers made it look easy. Cool as ice-bergs but displaying the precision of a couple of expert tool-and-die makers, this pair reeled off shot-after-shot that were in the sensat- ional class.
