Disney, pageantry chairman for the games, outlined the plans Wednesday. Some 5,000 persons, includ- ing nearly 800 athletes from 34 countries, will participate in the opening day ceremony Feb. 18 and the closing day Feb. 28. There will be a choir of 2,645 voices, 1,300 musicians from 52 California and Nevada high schools, plus the big U.S. Ma- rine Corps band from Washing- ton D.C. Gerry James Interested In Hockey TORONTO (CP)--Gerry James said Thursday he is interested in playing hockey for Toronto Maple Leafs if the offer from the Na- tional Hockey League club is "right." James, fullback with Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Western In- terprovincial Football Union, was commenting on a report that coach Punch Imlach of the Leafs was interested in obtaining his services for the last few months of the NHL. "I sent 'a letter to the Leafs quite a while ago asking them what the situation was," James , "but I haven't heard any- thing from them." James hasn't played hockey since his 1957-58 season with the Leafs. Imlach said he hoped he could get together with James after the Grey Cup to discuss hockey. James suffered a double frac- ture of his left leg early in the 1958 football season, which also kept him out of hockey last win- ter. He returned to Bombers this year. Polamy Wins N.Y.
