Port Perry Juveniles Take Lead By W. H. HALL PORT PERRY -- Saturday night Port Perry Hockey fans were treated to good fast hard hitting play-off hockey when Port Perry Juveniles defeated Alliston 50, to take a commanding lead in the best of five series 2-0. After the close first game in Alliston (2-1) the Port Perry squad domi- nated the play throughout the game here, Once again it was Port's Chick Carnegie who play- ed an outstanding game on de- fence and also scored two goals. Wannamaker in the Port's nets held Alliston scoreless. First period action saw Ports score the only goal, Carnahan from Clarke, at 17.12. GOALIES SHINE The second period started fast with both goalies coming up with tough saves. Carnegie scored the best goal of the game at the 8.02 mark, picking up the puck in his own end, and skating the length of the ice to score. Just four seconds later Carnegie scored assisted by Clarke to make it 3-0 for Port Perry. At 1.29 of the third period Car- nahan scored from Carnegie and Clark to give Port a command- ing 4-0 lead. Gary Geer scored the last goal of the game at the 17.40 mark assisted by MacMil- lan, to give Port Perry a 5-0 win Future games will be in Allis ton Monday night, and if neces- sary back to Port Perry Wednes- day.
