The report commended that Green River School be lowered to the base of the tall windows, so that they would appear as French doors, and that a veran- dah be added. It suggested that its character as a school be not preserved, as there was one schopl already on the grounds. To beautify the actual grounds, it was recommended that a fence be placed alongside the road, with one means of entering through a gate which locked; placing gravel along the front part of the lot, and flower beds, | so as to give a colorful aspect from the road; providing a gravel loop of approximately 10 feet wide in the rear part of the lot, leaving the centre part with grass, and possibly locating an old well, to be placed in the centre. A fenced service yard will be located at the east of Brougham School in which large articles can be stored, and the parking space will be restricted to 25 to 30 cars Following the report discussion arose about the moving of the Green River building, and its in- terference with Hydro and tele- phone lines. It was agreed that the Hydro be immediately con- tacted and -an estimate of the cost provided. Frank J. Prouse, Building In- spector of the Township, and a member of the Museum Commit- tee, suggested that the Green River School be dismantled moved and re-built on the Brougham site.
